New car
Oh my goodness! I just got to know that I will be having a new car! It's exciting! I am not complaining about my current car, but I do think it is time for a newer and more modern car. There are some things that I am sick of. Anyway, I will probably be getting the car by next month. Hopefully I find it a better one than my old Kancil. Hehe...

Horrible driving attitudes
It is a really ironic matter when it comes to driving. When I was still in high school, I long to get my hands on that license with much desperation. Imagine my reaction when I was told acutely that I failed my test on my first attempt. It took me three weeks to recover, and that was when I finally passed on my second attempt. It was unnerving, with the pressure and desire coming together. I thought of giving up (yes, I was really pathetic and lethargic back then) but couldn't bear to do it.
It was really fun being able to drive, without constantly bothering other people for transportation. But after 8 months of driving I find that my patience on the road erodes slowly because of incessant ignorant driving attitudes of other drivers. I got to say, it is a pain to drive on the roads and streets of my hometown. I enjoyed it so much more driving in a big city, while it is supposed to possess busier roads and highways than smaller cities! Paradoxically, the difference makes a BIG DIFFERENCE!
I have always wondered, in this case, why people who live in cities are more well-mannered than those who live in towns. They are always ready to give way whenever you are supposed to cross, and even smile politely at you. They do not even bother to fight a parking spot with you but happily let you take the place, even though they are first to arrive. They regularly abide by the laws and make things easier for other drivers!
However, in my hometown, people are more likely to do the total opposite. Take my father as an example. Impatience sets him off, followed by his habit of driving recklessly. Sometimes, I feel apprehensive, because he seems to have no idea that driving like that can cost him his life. When I was young, I did not pay much attention to this problem, even though my mother kept complaining about it. Now that I have gone behind the wheels myself, I witnessed the perils lurking even on a small street! I have been warning my father about it, hoping to seek his guilt because a member of the younger generation pointed that out to him, but he always shakes it off by saying, "Nah... I've been driving for 40 years. I know better than you!"
He has used expletives and vulgar signals against other drivers and I find that annoying. Seriously, I don't like it if people are to use those against ME. Since I am female, my tolerance can hold longer before I reach my limits.
Frankly, I do not enjoy riding on any vehicles nowadays. It just horrifies me seeing how many deaths occured throughout the whole world from the news. Sometimes, I even think that it is best if the human race lives without those killing machines. No doubt, carelessness is also one element to be blamed on. It just irritates me whenever I see motorcyclists talking on the phone while riding on the MIDDLE of the road. You know, people tend to move slower while their minds are somewhere else. I believe no driver in the world is willing to sit back and tag along at snail-speed when he/she could have reached the destination 20 minutes earlier. Some people are really inconsiderate!
Also, I don't know why drivers find it amusing to move onto another lane while there is another car moving nearby. Are they not aware that they could have been knocked over if the other party isn't careful? Why would they take this risk is always beyond me.
The ability to tolerate and be friendly for at least TWICE is rare here. Some drivers are willing to turn a simple journey into a competitive race. I don't know what benefits will they gain if they manage to overtake cars aggresively, since each driver will end up in different destinations. I am rather annoyed and I just dread the thought of having to drive to college everyday. Pessimistically, I am aware that maybe one day I will not be able to return home resulting from a fatal accident.

First-time blogger
Honestly, I was not really into blogging earlier. However, I always find myself in a situation in which I have so many things to say but don't know where to put them. I have tried writing journals and diaries but these books always end up in places that I don't know where I have put them. I suppose blogging is a good choice, although I may not blog as often as my habit of writing my entries depends on the occasions that happen.
Sometimes, I write so much until I forget my main objective of writing a particular essay/entry. I would start off talking about one thing and ending it talking about another thing that is completely not related to the start. I guess I have developed an intension to expound on my thoughts and views thoroughly over the years. I have even considered journalism as my priority when it comes to a career, but gave up on the thought as I am more interested in management courses. I am now taking Business Administration in college, but the lecturers/tutors probably fall asleep very frequently when reading my assignments. I like to make things clear on my answers so I don't mind writing lengthy essays and responses. Nevertheless, that always ends me up with satisfying test/exam results. Hahaha...
I don't consider myself having a remarkably excellent command in English, but I don't think it's ostentatious to say I am above average. Well, at least among my friends. Most of my friends see Chinese as their first language so it could be understandable that they don't focus much on English. I personally emphasise on the language a lot, so I tend to act like a perfectionist at times. Plus, 90% of the books on my book rack are English books, so I would bite myself if I don't do well in English after all the years of reading.
I think I shall stop here before my writing disease gets me again. I will continue in the future with more interesting topics and more about my life. Thank you for reading (if there is any reader, hahaha...).
